Why is the Test Done?
The test helps to evaluate the functioning of the thyroid gland and detects
thyroid disorders, such as, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. It includes 3 tests: T3
(triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine) and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone).
